On Tuesday, November 18, cofounder and COO Ryan Croft spoke on a panel at the Focus on the Future Conference in Santa Clara, CA. The panel was titled "Building on Big Data: How a New Wave of Tech Start-ups is Using Big Data to Shape the Future of Transportation," and it was moderated by Kome Ajise, Deputy Director of Caltrans (California Department of Transportation). Joining Ryan on the panel was Sohier Hall (Luum), Bruce Haldors (TranspoGroup) and Matt George (Bridj). The Self-Help Counties Coalition hosted the event, bringing together the California transportation community to discuss ways to improve transportation and transportation policy for the betterment of Californians.
"Call it a cliche if you want, but big data is revolutionizing how we move around cities. My fellow panelists (from TranspoGroup, Bridj and Luum) truly represent the future of our industry, so it was fun to be apart of. The audience was great too-- an eclectic mix of transportation engineers, planners, and policy wonks." - Ryan Croft
